Training for learning and serving (TLS) is an experience and reflection-based programme designed for those people who wish to explore alongside others, Christian discipleship for personal enrichment or more focussed vocational service. It can be accessed with a minimal academic background but can be used to reach higher education certificate and diploma levels of attainment.

A foundation course of two years is supplemented by one year courses on a variety of more specialist subjects providing, for example, gateways into a deeper exploration of worship-leadership, pastoral care and prayer. All courses use home study, tutor-guidance, regional group experiences, and most have weekend residential gatherings to provide a varied and flexible approach to learning.
